Philly in the Snow

Writer: Siena CSiena C
Snow in the city is disgusting. 12 hours after the first snowflake hits the concrete, the city snow gets covered in litter, dirt, piss and tire tracks.

As someone who grew up in the suburbs I remember when snow was beautiful. The white blankets covered the brick homes and evergreen trees, making it look like a christmas movie every time you peek outside. However, I have been living in the city for 3 years and now snow is disgusting to me.

Philly in the snow makes so much sense. The city is gritty and tough and graffiti covered and something about the dirty black snow makes the city look even more rugged. Here are some photos that I took from all around the city when it snowed.
